Before the pumpkin jack-o-lantern was the Scottish tumshie, carved from a turnip. Lighting a tumshie was said to ward off evil spirts when you went guising.
In this tradition, we have the "Tumshie" Neep Heid Lantern, made from a beeswax & coconut blend. He smells of tobacco, honey, spices and fresh citrus, sandalwood, amber, tonka bean, patchouli and honey.
Tumshie weighs in at 245g and is made from a beeswax & coconut wax blend. He stands at 11cm tall including the wick, which is made from braided cotton. His lantern handle is for decorative purposes only. If you plan to light him, please cut the handle off or fold it backwards away from the flame.
Tumshie is 100% handmade in Scotland by Perrywinkle Wax , cast from handmade moulds and hand painted.
