Thank you for your interest in working with us! We are currently hiring a Craft Workshop Instructor.

  • Pay: £14.77 (£13.77 during 5 weeks’ training) 

  • Contract: fixed term, ASAP til 31/01/27 

  • Days per week: 3 (Weds, Fri, Sun), 8.25 hours per day

Our mission is to provide authentic, meaningful, and handmade crafts to visitors and locals. We seek a Craft Instructor for our broom making, bookbinding, spinning and other classes, as well as our Craft Witch space, who can also carry out retail operations in a busy shop. The successful applicant will have experience in both retail and craft workshop instruction, plus a clearly shown knowledge of witchcraft and folk magic. 

Candidate should be passionate about the mission of Wheel of Fate, confident with public speaking and instruction, and embrace the fluid and creative work environment. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as you will be working as part of a team in both a customer-facing retail environment and a craft instructor role. 

Professional experience in the world of art and handmade craft is a must, but we will provide all the training necessary to teach our workshops. 

We cannot yet say whether there is scope to extend this contract past January, so the applicant should assume a fixed end date.  

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):  

  1. Craft Instruction: Guide patrons through the creative process to create their crafts; Prepare craft materials 

  1. Retail: Work Point of Sale; Create stock and products; Visual Merchandising; Cleaning; Open and close procedures; prompt packing and shipping of online orders; Field customer inquiries; Report to management with updates, reviews, issues relating to the shop. 

Required skills and qualifications:  

  1. Craft Instruction: Strong communication skills, including public speaking (very important); Ability to teach classes of all sizes (1-10 people); Group management and leadership skills; Self-motivation and desire for self-development; Fibre arts experience (knitting, etc) 

  1. Retail: Experience providing customer service; Ability to work autonomously; Ability to take direction and implement tasks  

  1. Witchcraft knowledge: must be able to show general knowledge of the esoteric/occult/pagan/witch world
