Summer Solstice Birthday Fundraisers

Every year on the Summer Solstice, we ring in our birthday with a celebration raising money for causes in our community that we feel passionate about.

2023

On 21st June 2023, we opened our doors for the first time!

2024

For our first birthday, we raised £230 for The Sameer Project, who provide food and sanitary products for displaced families in Gaza.

2025

On our second birthday, we held a multi-day clothing sale and raffle to benefit trans mutual aid funds in Edinburgh and Scotland. We raised £346 for FiveforFive, which distributes mutual aid to transfems and trans women in the UK, and £346 for Edinburgh Trans Community Health, which provides blood tests for trans people in Edinburgh. 

2026

When we turned three, we celebrated with a summer fete, involving mini crafts, a guess-the-crystal game, and a raffle once again! This time we raised £403 for FiveforFive, and £403 for Refugee Community Kitchen, which provides meals for refugees in the UK and France.

 

Apartheid Free Zones Scotland

Wheel of Fate is an apartheid-free zone. This means, among other things, that we denounce the genocide that the government of Israel is committing against the Palestinian people, and that we do not stock or buy Israeli goods.
