Spell Bottles

Fill a special glass bottle with ingredients from our magical apothecary, and seal it with wax! Spell bottles are perfect for an altar or a special place in your home. You may treat this as a spell held in a container, or you might approach it as simply setting a mood or an intention.

Collage

Make a tarot or altar card, or button/badge with collage! Choose from our range of esoteric, historical, archaeological, art, and design illustrations to set your intention or make a statement. Your 1.5 hour booking is enough time to make several items, depending on how complex they are!

Leather Etching

Try your hand at etching leather goods! Your 1.5 hour booking is enough time to etch either one large item (a tarot pouch), OR a medium item (mini book, wallet) plus one small item (bookmark, keychain). You can use a stencil or your imagination to freehand etch a design using an awl or etching pen.

What to expect at Craft Witch

What's included?

In your Craft Witch DIY crafting session you will have access to the raw materials for your chosen craft, as well as written instructions and a craftsperson on hand to help out if you get stuck. You will leave your Craft Witch session with one or more items handmade by you!

What are the age requirements?

All crafts at Wheel of Fate are designed with adults in mind. However, dependant on the craft, we may allow children ages 8+ or 13+ with adult accompaniment!

Children and teens must remain accompanied by a parent/guardian for the duration of the crafting time. Parents, please do not drop off your kids!

How is Craft Witch different from your other workshops?

Craft Witch is our DIY craft studio. While our traditional workshops are taught by an instructor, Craft Witch is freeform and self-led. This is a self-guided, do-it-yourself crafting session where you can make your own spell bottle, collage items, or decorated leather goods. The magic is in your hands!

How long is the crafting session?

Each session you book is a minimum of 90 minutes by default. Most crafts can be done within the 90 minutes allotted, and we will give you a 15-minute warning so you can manage your time well! However, if you don't finish, you can add more time (£2 per person per 15 minutes), subject to availability. Please be aware, if it is close to the end of the day, or if there is another booking after you, this may not be possible.

Can two people craft together?

We ask that every person makes their own craft rather than share. However, if one person just wants to hang out and watch, you can choose the "No Craft" option for that person during the booking process. This will allow them to have a seat at the table without needing to choose a craft!

What if members of my group want to make different crafts?

Yes absolutely! That is the beauty of Craft Witch: you can each choose your own adventure. When booking, please choose the craft that each person wants to make. You will then be able to craft side-by-side in our Craft Witch studio.

What if one member of my group wants to do a Craft Witch craft, and another wants to do a taught workshop such as broom making, bookbinding, spinning, or corn dollies?

You can absolutely book in for both, but just know these activities happen in separate rooms with different start times, so you won't be crafting together!
