Stoneware Fish Badges by award-winning Irish artist Jennifer Alford.
These fish are made with stoneware and a pin backing. Hold one in your hand and you will find they are covered in arcane symbols. Please note that each fish is completely unique, and may not look exactly like the pictures above. They range in size from 5x1.5cm to 6x2cm.
Jennifer Alford makes wheel-thrown contemporary ceramics. Jennifer grew up in Dublin and studied violin and music at the Royal Irish Academy of Music and University College Dublin. She found expression through musical composition and performance before discovering clay. Her work now features in the permanent collection of the National Museum of Ireland.
She works from her studio in the Angus countryside and teaches at the Edinburgh Ceramic Workshop.
