This book is the result of a six week art residency in a remote village on the east coast of Iceland. It is an anthology of traditional stories and landscapes, illustrated in ink and accompanied by film photography. 

Hester Aspland is an illustrator based in Scotland, creating detailed ink illustrations and ceramics inspired by nature and wild places. As an illustrator and artist, Aspland’s practice is a journey into themes of storytelling, folklore, nature, environment, history and heritage through multiple mediums.
