Ammonite and brass ring

This statement ring holds a lost wax ammonite, cast into recycled silver and oxidised to darken and bring out its beautiful spiral formation. On either side of the ammonite sit small strips of brass that add a pop of colour to the ring. All of this sits on a chunky hand hammered recycled silver band.

Dust Designs jewellery is inspired by nature and especially the ocean. Charl works with recycled silver and incorporates found objects from along the coast, such as sea glass, fossils and ceramics. Other pieces are wax-cast into recycled silver to show fossils, shells and wave patterns. Each piece by Dust Designs contains a little piece of the natural world within!
