'Beltane' Print by Katrin Blackwater

This print features a detailed black and white illustration of the May Queen holding two torches underneath a green man motif. The piece is in a tarot card style and has Scottish flora and fauna interwoven across Celtic motifs and folkloric imagery. The piece is called 'Beltane' and is inspired by the seasonal celtic festival of Beltane. 

Katrin Blackwater is an Edinburgh based artist creating illustrations inspired by Scottish folklore, nature, witchcraft and the celtic neo-pagan seasonal festivals.

Many of the characters in their pieces are drawn from their performance work with Beltane Fire Society.
