This print features a detailed black and white illustration of a figure holding a wooden staff Infront of a steaming cauldron. The figure is surrounded by flora, fauna and fungi and there is an owl perched on a branch above them. The piece also features a detailed border that includes illustrations of brooms intertwined with Celtic knots, turnip Jack O' Lanterns, crows and a stag skull.

The piece is called 'Samhuinn' after the Celtic festival of Samhuinn, also known as Halloween.    

Katrin Blackwater is an Edinburgh based artist creating illustrations inspired by Scottish folklore, nature, witchcraft and the celtic neo-pagan seasonal festivals.

Many of the characters in their pieces are drawn from their performance work with Beltane Fire Society
