Learn how to make a hand-bound turkey-wing broom from sorghum, a.k.a. broomcorn.
In this one-hour workshop, you will learn how to make a charming broom called a "turkey wing". This type of broom is fully functional as a hand broom, but also makes a beautiful decorative piece. Give yours a splash of colour, or keep it neutral. Add a charm to set your intention for the broom. Whatever you choose, your broom will be uniquely yours!
The finished broom will be up to 43cm (17") long, making it easy to travel with in a suitcase.
No prior experience is necessary. As the brooms are assembled while slightly damp, we will offer aprons, but we recommend you wear clothes you don't mind getting a little wet. You will be using both arms and legs for this workshop, so if that is a concern please do get in touch to discuss whether we can assist or accommodate in any way. See also our Accessibility page.

Cancellations for a workshop or reading communicated via email or phone more than 24 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of a workshop or reading are not eligible for a refund.
Absences and late arrivals for a workshop or reading are not eligible for a refund, and will be considered cancellations subject to the cancellation and refund policies.
